Lazy morning in Mayaguez. Only two divisions have to work today – the watch division and the maintenance division, so many cadets had the opportunity to sleep. While they slept we launched four lifeboats, recovered them, heaved the anchor and sailed out of Mayaguez. It was a beautiful morning, low puffy cumulus clouds, light easterly breeze. Now the Chartwell's gang is setting up the Helo Deck for a cook-out that will last into the evening.
Most of the cadets and crew were able to watch the Patriots-Chief game yesterday, with a favorable ending. Who will we play next weekend? We’ll find out tonight – provided the Direct TV Latin America elects to show us – otherwise we’ll be watching Cricket of Soccer!
On to Ile a Vache Haiti. The fun never ends aboard the T.S. Kennedy!
